The Transfiguration of Our Lord Jesus Christ

What is illuminated by the Glory of Christ? What is this Light that came into the world meant to show? What was being revealed?

This Sunday is the Feast of the Transfiguration so it is fitting to ask such questions. Is the Light itself the object of one’s sight—or that which is illumined by the Light? What are we meant to see in the glory of Christ?
